Inside Precarity
A downloadable game
Generative artificial intelligence causes tremendous hidden harms to society and the planet. How can we better understand the costs of this industry? How can we shift our technological realities into desired futures? This is a tabletop role playing game that explores these questions.
Starting with an unlabelled map of a small rural town called Ashkin Oak, players play as groups within the community and take turns claiming and describing locations within it. As structures are defined, the story of the town and its inhabitants emerges.
This game was designed to be played with 5 players, and take approximately three hours to play. Feel free to make adjustments and adapt the game to suit your preferences.
